A labial frenectomy (lip tie) is typically a quick and relative pain-free treatment at Frenectomy Mississauga. That doesn’t mean it’s without discomfort. However, it is done in one visit while you wait. In order to make the appointment the easiest and relaxing one as possible, we recommend the following activities even if there is even light dental anxiety.
For before care, we suggest a relaxing pre appointment time. And when you get to the office, we can take great care of you as we work a lot with nervous patients. Just before the treatment, the best thing is to listen to the music you like. If you have any further questions, you can ask them here but the whole thing will be done so quickly, you can just relax.
During treatment, the dentist will provide some numbing agents and make sure you don’t feel the treatment at all. The treatment itself might only be 15 minutes and then you are done.
After the treatment, you will be provided with instructions on care while you (or your child) heals. It’s a pretty standard procedure and usually takes up to 2 weeks to heal. A follow up appointment can be booked to see how you are doing.
